Research Support

When you’re working on research-driven projects, it isn’t always possible to expand your team or bring in additional capacity internally. I provide adaptable research support for organisations that need clear thinking, careful analysis, and reliable evidence synthesis, without the overhead of hiring a full-time researcher.

I work with NGOs, research groups, government bodies, academic teams, and organisations working across environment, sustainability, innovation, and socially focused work. My role is to help you strengthen your evidence base, clarify complex information, and move your project forward with confidence.

How Research Support Helps You

Focused expertise to extend your team’s capabilities

Research support can take many forms, depending on what your organisation needs. This may involve sourcing and synthesising evidence, reviewing existing materials, helping shape research questions, organising and analysing qualitative or quantitative information, or preparing structured notes or briefings to support further work.

The aim is always to provide clear, accurate, and meaningful information that supports your decision-making, communication, or academic outputs.

What This Can Include

Support tailored to your project and workflow

Depending on your goals, research assistance may involve:

  • desk-based research and evidence gathering

  • organising and synthesising existing material

  • reviewing methodologies, frameworks, or analytical approaches

  • structuring findings into notes, summaries, or briefing formats

  • preparing drafts or contributing to sections of technical or academic documents

  • supporting manuscript development or refinement

  • advising on clarity, structure, and accessibility for non-specialist audiences

This service adapts to the level of depth and formality you require .

How This Differs From a Literature Review

Research support is flexible and task-driven, whereas literature reviews and evidence syntheses follow more defined structures and deliverables. If your project requires a formal review or a comprehensive analysis of published literature, you may be better served by my Literature Review or evidence-based reporting services.

If you’re unsure which approach your project needs, we can discuss the options and determine the best fit.

Scope & Ethics

Research support does not include completing academic coursework or assignments on behalf of students. However, I regularly support research teams, organisations, and professionals working on technical, scientific, or policy-aligned projects.

All work is conducted confidentially and with respect for your organisation’s internal processes, authorship requirements, and ethical standards.
